Andrei Aleksandrovich Kamensky (born October 24, 1946, Moscow) is a Russian scientist. Doctor of Biological Sciences (1986), Honored Professor of Moscow State University (2003), Head of the Department of Human and Animal Physiology, Biological Faculty of Moscow State University (since 2007). Winner of the Lomonosov Prize of Moscow State University (1996) [1] .

Biography
In 1963 he began working as a worker in the expedition of Moscow State University.
He graduated with honors from the Biology and Soil Faculty of Moscow State University in 1969 with a degree in Human and Animal Physiology, and studied there since 1964.
In 1969-1972 he studied in graduate school. Candidate of Biological Sciences (1973), on a topic devoted to the study of the mechanism of action of certain psychotropic substances of hallucinogenic action.
1987–1993 - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Biology for Advanced Studies.
Doctoral dissertation was devoted to the study of a number of peptides with psychotropic activity and the study of the dependence of the nature of the effects on the structure of the drug.
Since 1993, Professor of the Department of Human and Animal Physiology, Faculty of Biology.
Since 2007, Head of the Department of Human and Animal Physiology, Biological Faculty, Moscow State University. He heads the laboratory of molecular basis for the regulation of behavior at the Institute of Molecular Genetics, Russian Academy of Sciences [2] .
Chairman of the dissertation council on human and animal physiology at Moscow State University (since 2013) and a member of two other dissertation councils [3] .
He was a candidate for corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Sciences [4] .
Member of the editorial board of the journal Molecular Genetics, Microbiology and Virology (1992), member of the editorial board of the journal Successes of Modern Biology .
Awards and prizes
- 1997 - Medal "In Memory of the 850th Anniversary of Moscow"
- Medal "Veteran of Labor"
- 2002 - Government Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology for the development and maintenance of the drug in practice.
- 1996 - Prize named after M. V. Lomonosov, 1st degree (together with Professor I. P. Ashmarin ) for the series of works “Fundamental studies of neuropeptides as the basis for creating new medicines”.
