Biography
Born on November 20, 1927 in the village of Kachagan, Borchalinsky district of the Georgian SSR (now Kachagani, Kvemo-Kartli region).
He graduated from a 5-year school in his native village. He began his career in 1939 as an ordinary collective farmer on the “Socialism” collective farm of the Marneulsky district, and later headed the tobacco-growing brigade on the collective farm. He took an active part in the development of cultivation of the Trapezond tobacco variety in Marneuli district. He achieved high labor indicators in the field of tobacco growing, shared his experience in the Azerbaijan SSR and the Uzbek SSR. Since 1951, he worked at the Kachagan Dairy and Vegetable State Farm.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of July 3, 1950 , for receiving high tobacco yields, Mammadov Imran Ismail oglu was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Hammer and Sickle Medal.
Passed away and was buried in his native village.
