  • February 16 - Soviet troops crossed the southern border of Georgia.
  • February 19 - 20 - near the village of Tabakhmela, on the approaches to Tbilisi, units of the 11th Army of the Red Army met with fierce resistance from the cadets - students of the military school. The village remained in the hands of the Georgian junkers, but the Reds circumvented it and continued the offensive.

May

  • July 10 - Permanent People’s Government headed by Dogsomin Bodoo formed in Mongolia
  • July 16 - Autonomous Socialist Soviet Republic of Adjara was formed
  • July 18 - the All-Russian Committee for the Relief of the Starving was established in Moscow
  • July 22 - The RSFSR sent a special note to the governments of Sweden and Finland with a protest against the intention to resolve the issue of the Aland Islands without the participation of Soviet Russia. It is stated that the RSFSR does not recognize any decisions that will be made without its participation.
  • July 24 - Famous communists Fedor Sergeyev , Oscar Gelbrich and John Freeman perished in a railway accident near Serpukhov

August

  • August 1 - the troops of Baron Ungern won a major victory at datsan Gusinoozersky, capturing 300 Red Army soldiers, 2 guns, 6 machine guns and 500 rifles.
  • August 12 - the last battle of the Asian division took place near the village of Ataman-Nikolskaya, when the Bolsheviks suffered significant losses by artillery and machine-gun units of Baron Ungern - no more than 600 of the 2,000 men of the Red detachment survived.
  • August 14 - in the Uryankhai Territory , which was a protectorate of Tsarist Russia, the local Bolsheviks , supported by Bolshevik Moscow, proclaimed the independent state of Tannu-Tuva .

September

  • September 15 - in Novonikolayevsk in the building of the Novonikolayevsk Theater an open show trial over Baron Ungern took place. The main prosecutor at the trial was Emelian Yaroslavsky . The hearing lasted 5 hours 20 minutes. Ungern was sentenced to death and executed on the same day.

October

  • October 6 - The First Russian State Insurance Company Gosstrakh was formed, the predecessor of Rosgosstrakh OJSC .
  • October 10 - a conference was opened in Geneva to determine the new status of the Aland Islands with the participation of Great Britain , Germany , Denmark , Italy , Latvia , Poland , Finland , France , Sweden and Estonia . The RSFSR , despite a series of diplomatic demarches, was not admitted to the conference
