European Team Championships in Athletics 2010

The European Athletics Team Championship 2010 was held June 19-20 at the Fana Stadium in Bergen, Norway . The strongest teams of the continent participated in the competitions of the Super League - the main division of the tournament. For 2 days, the participants competed for team points in 40 track and field disciplines.

In the Super League in 2010 were 12 European teams: the first 9 at the end of the last championship and 3 of the strongest of the First League in 2009.

The first champion of the tournament, the German national team, failed to defend the title, losing to the teams of Russia and the UK.

a On May 3, 2017, the All-Russian Athletics Federation announced a two-year suspension for the Russian runner, Yulia Chermoshanskaya . Turinabol and stanozolol were found in her doping test, taken at the 2008 Olympics . All performances of the athlete from August 20, 2008 to August 19, 2010 were canceled, including at the European Team Championship 2010: second place in the 200 meter run with a result of 22.86 and first place for the Russian team in the 4 Γ— 100 meter relay a result of 42.98 [1] .
b On November 15, 2017, the IAAF announced a 2-year disqualification of the Belarusian runner for 400 meters Svetlana Usovich . Her doping test taken at the 2008 Olympics , after rechecking after eight years, turned out to be positive. The performances of the athletes from August 15, 2008 to August 14, 2010 were canceled, including the third place in the 400 meters race (52.91) and the sixth place in the relay (3.30.67) at the European Team Championship 2010 [2] .
From July 3, 2012, on the basis of abnormal indicators of the hematological profile of a biological passport , Svetlana Kluka was disqualified for 2 years. Its results, shown at competitions from August 15, 2009, were annulled, including 2nd place at the European Team Championship 2010 in the 800m race with a score of 2.03.49 [3] .
d On November 15, 2017, the IAAF announced a 4-year disqualification of the Greek athlete Atanasiya Perra . The reason was her positive doping test, which was discovered after rechecking the test results at the 2009 World Championships . The performances of the athletes from August 15, 2009 to August 14, 2011 were canceled, including the second place in the triple jump at the 2010 European Team Championship with a result of 14.37 m [2] .
e On November 15, 2017, the IAAF announced a 2-year disqualification of the Belarusian hammer thrower Darya Pchelnik . Her doping test taken at the 2008 Olympics , after rechecking after eight years, turned out to be positive. The performances of the athletes from August 20, 2008 to August 19, 2010 were canceled, including the third place in the European Team Championship 2010 with a result of 69.86 m [2] .
f On September 5, 2018, the All-Russian Athletics Federation announced a 4-year suspension for throwing spear thrower Maria Abakumova for 4 years. After rechecking her doping samples from the 2008 Olympic Games and the 2011 World Championships, the forbidden turinabol was found in them. The athlete refused the appeal; all her performances from August 21, 2008 to August 20, 2012 were canceled, including the third place in the European Team Championship 2010 with a result of 58.24 meters [4] .

League One

Competitions in the First League were held June 19-20, 2010 in Budapest , the capital of Hungary . The following draw of the Super League came the Czech Republic, Sweden and Portugal. We flew to the Second League Estonia and Lithuania.

Competitions in the Second League were held June 19-20, 2010 in Belgrade , the capital of Serbia . The two best teams of the tournament, Switzerland and Croatia, have earned the right to compete in the First League in the next draw of the European Team Championship. Moldova and Israel flew to the Third League.
