A game starting with the course of nature
In game theory, the course of nature ( Eng. Move by nature ) is a decision in the expanded form , made by a player who is not interested in the outcome of the game. A new participant appears in the game - "Nature" - which acts as a random number generator . An example is the sequence of cards in a deck: it affects the outcome of the game, but is not determined by any of the actual participants.
The illustration shows a detailed form of the signaling game , starting with the course of nature. Nature is an integral part of games with incomplete information .
