The main background color of the wings is white. on it is a dark brown pattern, which occupies almost half the area of ββthe front wings. At the male, a wide marginal band covers the entire near-tip region and merges with a wide strip at the rear edge of the wing. The second sling has the form of an angular arc and bends around the central cell from the top to the rear corner of the front wing. The rear wings are framed by a narrow marginal band formed by two thin wavy lines: between it and the wide brown band, broken at the top, an arc passes, formed by light semi-lunar spots. The rim of two thin lines is clearly visible on both wings. The dark pattern on the front wings of the female is less contrasting than on its upper side.
