Story

The baby elephant Timka dreamed of becoming a circus artist, so he made his way to a rehearsal in the circus. When Timka returned the ball lost by the juggler to the arena, the Bear, an old circus artist, drew attention to him. The bear suggested the elephant try to juggle the ball. Timka tried, but then could not resist and fell on the instruments of the couplets (dog and monkey), which were loudly outraged. The bear comforted the elephant with the words: to become an artist, you have to work day and night. Timka rehearsed for a long time and by the beginning of the tour he mastered juggling, balancing on a ball. The couplets failed miserably, but Timka successfully performed, and the audience applauded the young talent for a long time.

Review Review

Baker and Popov have tried themselves in directing since the beginning of the 60s. They put on several paintings that were included in the "multitek" kids and still do not leave the television screens. Among them, “For the First Time in the Arena” (1961), is actually the directorial debut, the dilogy about the Umka bear cub (1969–1970), and the touching drama “Return Rex” (1975).
