Biography
At 16, he was forced to end his tennis career due to a serious injury. Bachelor of the French Lyceum La Marsa in Tunisia and Dubai International Business School.
Having passed to a judicial post, he achieved considerable successes in this field. Already at the age of 24, Aref received the Golden ITF badge - the highest category of arbiter in international tennis. He became the youngest judge to ever achieve this title [1] . He worked on more than 30 ATP and WTA tournaments , including the Grand Slam series and the Olympic Games . In 2006, during a match between the national teams of Great Britain and Serbia and Montenegro, the Davis Cup entered into a skirmish with Andy Murray , who considered Aref's work biased. Tennis player to insult the judge was fined 2.5 thousand dollars [2] [3] . Later they reconciled [4] .
In 2008, Adel Aref became Director of Marketing, Branding and Gaming Services at the Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF). He currently works at the headquarters of the PSG President Nasser Al-Helaifi and is the PR director of the beIN Sports TV channel, also part of the structure managed by Al-Helaifi [5] .
