It grows everywhere in Eurasia , North Africa , is listed in North America and the Southern Hemisphere . Hardly eradicated weed . Significantly reduces the yield of spring crops, drains the soil.
The root system of the plant is fibrous, penetrating the soil to a depth of one and a half meters. The shoot forms a bush of 2-3 dozen stems, often exceeding a height of 100-110 cm, a panicle reaches a length of 30 cm. One copy can give up to 600 grains [2] . Seeds retain viability for 3-4 years [3] .
Unlike oats, it has small oval depressions at the base of the caryopsis, in the shape of a horseshoe, with a roller crowned with hairs along the edge [3] .
Hardly eradicated weeds affecting cereal crops. Also, oats can be crossed with sowing oats , reducing the value of varieties . Young shoots can go to feed livestock . However, feeding un-ground oatmeal grains, together with stiff hairs and rough awns, can cause inflammation of the mucous membranes of the digestive and respiratory systems of animals [3] .
