Biography
Fedor Alexandrovich Kudryavtsev was born on October 22, 1899 in the village. Olonki Balagansk district of Irkutsk province , studied at the Irkutsk gymnasium (1909-1918).
He was drafted into the army of Kolchak , in 1919 he switched to the side of the Red Army. After dismissal due to illness (August 1920) he returned to Irkutsk . At first he studied at the historical department of the humanities faculty, then he switched to the historical cycle of the pedagogical faculty of ISU.
After graduation, he worked as a teacher in Verkhneudinsk (now Ulan-Ude ) (1924-1929). As a scientific secretary of the Buryat-Mongolian Scientific Society. Dorzhi Banzarova , was actively engaged in scientific and regional studies. At the suggestion of the Archival Directorate of BM, the Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic moved to work in this institution first as an inspector, and then as a research assistant (1929-1931). At the same time, Fyodor Alexandrovich was a member of the editorial commission for the study of materials of the partisan movement in Buryatia.
Since 1931, F. A. Kudryavtsev is an employee of the East Siberian Regional Archival Bureau. He headed the Historical Archive of the Irkutsk Region (1938-1943). Since 1941, he lectured on the history of the Middle Ages at the historical and philological faculty of the I. A. Zhdanov ISU . He defended his thesis on the topic “History of the Buryat-Mongolian people” (1942) and was approved in the academic rank of assistant professor of the Department of History of the USSR.
Subsequently, for many years of teaching, the successful management of the department ahead of schedule, even before defending his doctoral dissertation, he was awarded the title of professor (1961). After defending his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Issues of the economic development of social relations in Siberia in the 18-19 centuries”, F. A. Kudryavtsev was awarded the degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences (1971) and he was approved as a professor-consultant of the Department of History of the USSR (1972) . For his teaching activities, Fedor Aleksandrovich prepared more than 15 candidates of science, made a significant contribution to the development of historical science in Siberia.
Most of his research is devoted to Siberian topics. He was one of the chief editors of the 5-volume History of Siberia (1964-1969), studied the history of the Buryat people (monograph History of the Buryat-Mongolian People, 1940), the development of the class struggle and the revolutionary movement in Siberia at the end of the 19th 20th century and others. A number of works reveal the theme "Siberia in the Second World War." About 43 publications, written independently and in collaboration, are devoted to the history of Irkutsk.
He was one of the initiators of the creation of the Irkutsk regional branch of the society "Knowledge", headed the Irkutsk regional branch of the society of Soviet-Mongolian friendship (1959-1969), was a member of the board of the Irkutsk branch of VOOPIK .
Fedor Aleksandrovich Kudryavtsev was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (1957), the medal "For Valiant Labor to Commemorate the Centenary of the Birth of V. I. Lenin" (1970), the Government of Mongolia with the Nairamdal (Friendship) medal , and he was awarded the title : “Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Buryatia”, “Honorary Citizen p. Olonki, ”he is listed in the ISU Honor Book.
Fyodor Aleksandrovich Kudryavtsev died on April 29, 1976 , and on November 5, 1977, at the Faculty of History, ISU. A. A. Zhdanov, a memorial office of Fyodor Alexandrovich Kudryavtsev was opened.
