Biography

Born in October 1927 (according to documents - April 1, 1928) in the Belenky farm of the Kamensky district of the Ural region (now - the territory of Kazakhstan) in a family of Ural Cossacks. Parents - Loktev Min Artemievich and Lokteva (Churilina) Ekaterina Safonovna.

He studied at the Moscow Institute of Fine Chemical Technology. MV Lomonosov and in graduate school of the Institute of Petroleum of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, which was later transformed into the Institute of Petrochemical Synthesis named after A.V. Topchiev, USSR Academy of Sciences. Remained to work at this institute. He went from a junior research assistant to a deputy director for scientific work and and. about. director of the institute. He headed the laboratory No. 2, founded by his teacher, corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences A. N. Bashkirov .

The author of more than 250 scientific publications, 35 copyright certificates and patents, five monographs. Head of Laboratory, Deputy Director, AB Topchiev Institute of Petrochemical Synthesis, Russian Academy of Sciences. Member of the editorial board of the journal "Petrochemistry".

The main works are related to chemical and petrochemical processes with the participation of single-carbon molecules, the development of scientific foundations and catalysts for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, metathesis, hydroformylation, production of amines. He participated in creating the scientific foundations of the process of hydroformylation of olefins in the presence of rhodium catalysts, which made it possible to develop technologies for the production of a number of valuable products: a two-stage process for producing isoprene, the first stage of which with a capacity of 100 tons / year was implemented at the Yarsintez NPP pilot plant in 1993, and the production process ultrapure drug "Valocordin", which passed pilot tests at the same plant in 1995.

Laureate of the VN Ipatiev Prize (1994) for the series of works “Development of the scientific basis and technology for producing oxygen-containing products by hydroformylation of unsaturated compounds on rhodium catalysts under pressure” [1] .

He was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor (1987).

Son - Aleksey Sergeevich Loktev, Doctor of Chemistry, Professor, Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry, IMU named after I.M. Gubkin.

Daughter - Ekaterina Sergeevna Lokteva, Doctor of Chemistry, Professor, Department of Chemistry, Moscow State University M.V. Lomonosov.
