Monument to Bogdan Khmelnitsky - a monument in honor of the outstanding Ukrainian commander and statesman, hetman of Ukraine Bogdan Mikhailovich Khmelnitsky in the city of Simferopol (Crimea) [2] .

The monument was erected in 1954 at the intersection of Bohdan Khmelnytsky and Dekabristov streets [2] , where the temple of the Most Merciful Savior (Spasskaya Church) towered earlier, the decision on the demolition of which was made in 1931 [3] [4] .
The authors of the bust are sculptors T. A. Derzhavin and I. F. Stadnyuk.
In 1992, instead of the original, a new bust of B. Khmelnitsky was installed, holding in his right hand an agreement with the inscription "With Russia forever" [5] .
According to the results of monitoring the state of cultural heritage sites in 2016, the head of the department of administrative and technical control said that several monuments need restoration, including a monument to Bogdan Khmelnitsky in Simferopol, which had a crack in the base [6] [7] .
According to several media reports, the head of the administration of Simferopol was instructed to urgently begin repairing the monument [6] [7] .
