Biography
At the adult level, he began performing at the age of 20 in Astrakhan Volga , who played in the second league . After spending six seasons in Astrakhan, in 1980 he moved to Tambov's Spartak , where he played two seasons, also in the second league. In 1982 he returned to Astrakhan, but a year later he suspended his career at the level of master teams. In 1988 he returned to Volgar again and spent three more seasons with the team, and at the end of his career he played in amateur competitions for the Astrakhan Cooperator.
In all, at least 300 matches played for the Volgar in the national championships (286 games excluding the 1978 season, for which there is no information about the matches played), and scored 48 goals. In the seasons 1977, 1982, 1983 and 1989, he became the team's top scorer.
After finishing his playing career he worked as a children's and adult trainer. In 1997 he led a team of 17-year-old Astrakhan footballers to victory in the Russian championship among youth teams in the second division [2] . In the early 2000s, he worked in the coaching staffs of Volgar and Shipbuilder . In 2006-2007, he worked as the head coach of the Shipbuilder, but the team did not perform well in these seasons. In the late 2000s, he worked as director of the Center for the Preparation of Volgar Footballers [3] , and as of 2014, he was the coach of the FC Astrakhan Academy [4] .
Personal life
Son Vladimir (born 1980) was also a football player, played in the big leagues for Rostselmash, also played for the teams of Astrakhan and a number of other clubs.
