Kunwar Inderjit Singh ( Nepali. कुवंर इन्द्रजीत सिंह ; 1906 , Doty district, Kingdom of Nepal - October 4, 1982 , Kathmandu , Kingdom of Nepal ) - Nepalese doctor and statesman, Prime Minister of Nepal (1957-1958), known as the Himalayan Robin Hood ”for its activities on the redistribution of land in favor of the peasants.

Biography
Belonged to not the most influential princely family. He received a higher medical education and worked as a homeopath. He is considered the first known physician in Nepal, known as "Dr. K. I. Singh." He played an important role in the revolution against the autocratic rule of the Ran dynasty.
In the years 1932-1934. worked in India and Burma (Myanmar), in areas occupied by Japan. In 1946 he joined the party, he joined the party Nepali National Congress , actively participated in the revolution of 1950-1951. on the side of King Tribhuvan against the Rana dynasty to establish democracy in Nepal. He earned the nickname "Robin Hood from the Himalayas" when he began distributing land to peasants during the uprising. However, the king, due to leftist views of the politician, refused to include him in the new government of the country. Due to his strong opposition to the 1950 agreement, he was arrested and imprisoned for 6 months. In 1952, he led the coup and held power in Kathmandu for two days. Then he managed to escape to China; returned after an amnesty declared at the request of the Chinese authorities by King Mahendra (1955).
In 1957-1958 for four months served as Prime Minister of Nepal. He was then arrested and imprisoned for 17 months due to his participation in the Nepalese Satyagraha , but was subsequently released by order of the Supreme Court (1965). For two terms he was a member of Rastria Panchayat (national legislature).
