Agapii Landos ( Greek Αγάπιος Λάνδος ; late XVI or early XVII century, Heraklion - between 1664 and 1667, Venice ) - Greek Christian monk, writer, poet, hymnographer, translator and publisher.
Landos was born in Crete , in the city of Heraklion . In baptism, he received the name Athanasius . Education Athanasius first received at home; and then in Venice , where he studied Greek and Latin literature. He returned to Crete and lived in the cities of Furna and Ierapetra . Until 1616, Athanasius served for almost two years in Heraklion as secretary to Venetian grandee , landowner of the village of in Crete. Andrea Cornaro is a learned thinker and poet. Athanasius rewrote his Greek and Italian poems. Landos spoke of Kornar with great respect in the book Sinners Salvation. It is not known exactly when Landos decided to leave the world and retire to Athos . Here, in the Lavra of St. Athanasius , he took monastic vows and received the monastic name of Agapius . After Agapius lived for two years in a hostel monastery - at St. Athanasius Lavra, he left the monastery and moved to the cell of the to practice divine thinking. In the skete, Agapius reads his own Greek and Italian books, as well as the books of the library of Saint Athos; here he writes his own books. Agapius begins to preach, he travels around the islands of the Aegean Sea : Syros , Andros , Sifnos and others, as well as Peloponnese, captured by the Turks. During his travels, Agapius collects money to publish his books. He visited Venice three times, where, with the money raised, he published more than ten books in Greek printing houses, and some of them were second editions. In his own prefaces to the books, Agapius speaks of the disasters that befell him in his travels, the lack of funds and asks him to read the books he had prepared with such difficulty. Books Agapia written in the national Greek language, enjoyed great popularity. In Venice, Agapius died. The unpublished works of Agapius, according to some sources, were kept in the Greek church of St. George in Venice ( San Giorgio de Greci ). In handwritten translations, the works of Agapius were distributed among the southern Slavs from the end of the seventeenth to the first half of the nineteenth century. Landos had knowledge of medicine and botany; one of his books, Βιβλίον καλούμενον Γεωπονικόν (“A book called Agriculture”) contains knowledge of agriculture and medicine.

"Βιβλίον ωραιότατον καλούμενον Αμαρτωλώ Σωτηρία" ("A book called Salvation for Sinners") . - 1641 - consists of three parts: the first is a review of sins and an indication of the means for their healing; the second is a treatise on redemption and virtues that lead to redemption; the third is stories about miracles performed by the Theotokos for the salvation of sinners. The material, as the author himself writes, he borrowed mostly from Western treatises, mainly from the works of P. César “Livres sur les miracles” (“Books on Miracles”) and F. de Silva “Miracoli de la Madonna” (“Miracles Mother of God "). The work was reprinted more than 10 times and was translated into Arabic. In 1685-1686 he was translated into Church Slavonic by the Athonite monk Samuel Bakachic. In 1704-1705, the monks of the Miracle Monastery of Damascus and Euthymius made another translation of this work into Church Slavonic, entitled “The Pre-Sword Book, called Amartolon sotirіya, that is, the Sinful Salvation”. In 2003, the book was translated into Russian (Translator: Markova A. Publisher: Edinets-Briceni Diocese. ISBN 5-7877-0028-7 ).

- Αγαπίου μοναχού του Κρητός. «Ιβλίον καλούμενον Κυριακοδρόμιον»: - 1657 - composed of prayers and teachings for all Sundays of the year, contains 56 conversations on the Sunday Gospels, translated into a simple language - the works of various writers. In the first half of the 18th century, the Western Bulgarian scribes Joseph Bradaty and Joachim Krichevsky translated this book into the Church Slavonic language called Weekly.
