Biography
In 1929, he won the four-player chess tournament in Maastricht and was the third in the same tournament in Ghent (the tournament was won by Edgar Colle ) [2] . At the Belgian chess championships, he took second place in 1930 in Verviers ( George Koltanovsky became the champion and shared the 4th - 6th place in 1934 in Liege ( Victor Sultanbeev became the champion) [3] .
In 1933, as part of the Belgian national team, he took part in the Chess Olympiad in Folkestone , where he played on the third board.
