Biography
Born in Romania , but then moved to Belgium . A multiple participant in the Belgian chess championships (1923, 1932, 1937, 1938), where he showed the best result in 1923, when he took second place. Winner of many international chess tournaments: 1st place in Antwerp in 1924, 2nd place in Brussels in 1925, 3rd place in the Spa in 1926, 2nd place in a side tournament of the Hastings chess festival in 1931 / 32 year [1] .
In 1928, he took part in the Belgian national team at the Chess Olympiad in The Hague , where he played on the first board.
