Alexander Kirillovich Okovity (born July 14, 1938 ) is a Soviet and Russian track and field athletics coach . Honored trainer of the RSFSR (1992). Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation (1997).

Biography
Alexander Kirillovich Okovity was born on July 14, 1938. In 1962 he graduated from the Leningrad State Pedagogical Institute named after A.I. Herzen .
From 1958 to 1971 he worked as a coach in the Sports School of the Dzerzhinsky district of Leningrad. From 1971 to 2000 he was the senior trainer of the DSO "Dynamo". From 1980 to 2000 he coached teams of Leningrad and St. Petersburg, from 1990 to 1997 - the national team of Russia. He was a member of the coaching council of Leningrad [1] . Also, for many years he worked as a trainer in the general physical training of St. Petersburg tennis players [2] .
Currently he is working as a coach in the State Budgetary Educational Institution DOD SDYUSSHOR "ShVSM in Athletics", St. Petersburg [3] .
Among his pupils:
- Igor Trandenkov - two-time silver medalist of the Olympic Games (1992, 1996), medalist of the World and European Championships [4] ;
- Rodion Gataullin - silver medalist of the 1988 Olympic Games, two-time world champion in the room (1989, 1993), two-time European champion (1990, 1994) [4] ;
- Ruslan Gataullin - the champion of Russia in 2007, the three-time champion of Russia in the room (2003, 2006, 2009) [4] ;
- Evgeny Smiryagin - European champion among juniors 1995, European champion among youth 1997, Russian champion 1999;
- Alexandra Kiryashova - champion of Russia in the room in 2011, and other athletes [5] [6] .
