Biography
In 1990, Isabelle Buret graduated from the Télécom ParisTech High School of Telecommunications in Paris, and then spent 2 years in Japan as a visiting scholar at the Japanese satellite telecommunications laboratory Nippon Telegraph and Telephone . Upon returning in 1993, she joined Alcatel Espace , where she is responsible for the engineering system program for the Globalstar project. In 1996, she works as a design engineer for digital on-board systems. In 1999, she joined Thales Alenia Space , where she is responsible for research on telecommunications and navigation systems. In 2010, she was responsible for research and development of telecommunications and became the product policy manager. In 2013, she was appointed responsible for the design of Iridium Next [1] .
Interested in developing joint public-private research, she represents Thales Alenia Space on the board of directors of the TéSA (Space and Aviation Telecommunication Laboratory) public laboratory, in which she is the treasurer [2] . The author of 40 publications and 5 patents, Isabelle Bure played an important role in the feminization of the team in which she was responsible [3] .
