Gunmo ( Kunbi ) - the title of the high ruler of the ancient Usuns (2nd - 5th centuries BC). In Chinese written sources, the title Gunmo has three names: Kunmet , Kunmie , Kunme . In meaning, all these three words are close to the words “ kunbek ”, “ kunbi ”. In Chinese written documents, the rulers of the Usun states were referred to as the Great Kunbi and the Younger Kunbi . The younger kunbi was elected from his own sons or from among his closest relatives and rules over only one region of the state, being subordinate to the Great Kunbi.
