Geography
The settlement is located in the south-eastern part of the Astrakhan region, south of the Kutum channel of the Volga river delta , at a distance of about 6 kilometers (in a straight line) west-south-west (WSW) from the village of Nachalovo , the administrative center of the district.

According to the All-Russian Census , in 2010 the population of the village was 48 people (25 men and 23 women) [1] .
According to the results of the 2002 census , in the national structure of the population, Russians made up 50%, Tatars - 27% [3] .
