Title

“Azarnegari” consists of two words - “fire” (pers. آذر) and “painting” (pers. نگاری). The name very eloquently demonstrates the essence of this art.

Creation History

Ahad Saadi was born in Tabriz , East Azerbaijan Province , Iran in 1980. Ahad from childhood worked in his father’s workshop and then for the first time noticed how beautifully textured fabrics combine with each other. Under the guidance of his father, the future artist was engaged in calligraphy and the art of Persian miniature. In 1999, at the age of 19, Ahad set about creating a new art form [2] .

Pencils, pens, or paints are not used in the Azarnegari; all the tools that the author needs to work are special scissors, cliches and small soldering irons.

The master cuts out the pieces he needs from the fabric and connects them to each other using a soldering iron. The number of layers in some works of Ahad Saadi reaches twenty. At first, the author practiced creating only flat works that looked more like paintings. Having gained experience, Saadi began to create large-scale volumetric designs, which brought him world fame.

Work Themes

The works of Ahad Saadi are based on the themes of mysticism and philosophy. The artist's works reflect themes closely related to love, nature, humanity and the universe. In addition to abstract ornaments, some Saadi's works use images of animals, plants and humans. The author is inspired by art; in his works, elements of classical Persian miniature, calligraphy, modern painting and classical sculpture are visible [3] .

Recognition

In 2008, Ahad Saadi officially registered a new type of applied art at the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Orientation.

Saadi held in Iran about a dozen personal and more than a dozen group exhibitions. His works are world famous; he often holds exhibitions in Turkey [4] and Azerbaijan.
