Chen Meng

Chen Meng ( Chinese ex. 陈梦 , pinyin : Chén Méng ) (born January 15, 1994, Qingdao ) is a Chinese athlete, table tennis player , member of the national team of China. Two-time world champion in the Chinese team, two-time bronze medalist of the world championships in doubles [2] . Absolute champion of the 2011 World Junior Championship, at which Chen Meng won 4 gold medals: in the team, singles, doubles and mixed categories [3] .

Sports career

Chen Meng is right-handed, playing in an attacking style using European grip.

Chen Meng played in the Chinese Super League for the Shandong Luneng club; since 2016, she has been playing for the Shenzhen team [4] [5] .

Chen Meng won singles at 9 ITTF World Tour tournaments : in 2012 in Doha and Suzhou , in 2013 in Stockholm and Suzhou , in 2015 in Kobe , in 2017 in Doha , Gold Coast and Magdeburg , in 2019 in Budapest .

In 2017, Chen Meng won the singles at the three stages of the 2017 ITTF World Tour and won the ITTF World Tour Grand Finals in Astana in two places: in the doubles with Zhu Yuling and in the singles.

In January 2018, Chen Meng led the world rating [6] .

In 2018, Chen Meng won the platinum stage of the “ 2018 ITTF World Tour ” in Austria and the final tournament “ ITTF World Tour Grand Finals ” in Incheon (Korea) in singles. [7]

In 2019, Chen Meng won the 2019 ITTF World Tour singles stages in Hungary, China [8] and Korea. Chen Meng won silver in singles and doubles in doubles at the 2019 World Championships in Budapest . [9]
