The 10th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster ( Ukrainian 10th anniversary of the Chornobil disaster ) is a commemorative coin with a face value of 200,000 Karbovans issued by the National Bank of Ukraine . Released on the occasion of the decade of the Chernobyl accident .

Obverse
In the center of the coin there is a small coat of arms of Ukraine framed on both sides by branches of viburnum , the number 1996 - the year of minting - is stamped over the coat of arms. The face value of the coin is stamped under the emblem. Behind the bead pattern is a circular inscription, above: "UKRAINE", below: "KARBOVANTSEV"
Reverse
On the reverse of the coin in the center is a bell with the inscription “CHERNOBYL”, around the bell 5 flying cranes are depicted. Under the bell is the inscription "1986-1996." The circular inscription “TRAGEDY • EXPLOIT • WARNING” [1] is embossed on the coin.
