Liberté ( fr. Liberté ) is a station of the Paris Metro line 8 , located in Charenton-le-Pont, adjoining Paris from the south-east. It is named after the homonymous street of the commune ( Fr. Avenue de la Liberté ), which is part of the D154 road connecting Charenton-le-Pont to Ivry-sur-Seine, located on the opposite bank of the Seine. Not far from the station is the entrance to the Bois de Vincennes forest with velodrome .

Content
History
- The station opened on October 5, 1942 as part of the launch area of Port de Charenton - Charenton - Ecol line 8, which led the line beyond the official borders of Paris.
- In 2012-2013, the station underwent a renovation, during which the orange tile was replaced with the classic white one. [2] .
- Passenger traffic at the station at the entrance in 2011, according to RATP , amounted to 2607263 people [3] . In 2012, 2297065 people entered the station [4] , and in 2013 it rose to 2557299 passengers (215th place in terms of passenger traffic in the Paris Metro) [5] .
Construction
The station was built according to a typical Parisian project of a single-vaulted shallow-ground station with two side platforms [6] . There are two lobbies, adapted for passengers with limited mobility, leading on both sides of Avenue de Paris.
