Geographical position
The village of Aleksandrovka is located on the Oksko-Don plain on the right bank of the Usha River (a tributary of Milchus ), 20 km northeast of the town of Shilovo . The distance from the village to the regional center of Shilovo by road is 24 km.
The village of Aleksandrovka is surrounded by large forests. To the west of the village is a large pond on the Usha River, then - the Round Forest tract ; to the north - quarry , tracts Solovyovka and Gar. The nearest settlements are the villages of Usha and Konstantinovka .
Population
According to the 2010 census, 12 [1] people live permanently in the village of Aleksandrovka.
Name Origin
Until the beginning of the 20th century. the village bore a double name - Aleksandrovka, Letnikovsky village of identity. Mikhailovsky local historians I. Zhurkin and B. Katagoshchin expressed the opinion that the village received its first name by the name of the landowner Aleksandrov. The second name of the village is due to the fact that it is settlements from the village of Letniki ( Putyatinsky district ). [2]
History
The village of Aleksandrovka was formed around 1872 on the initiative of the owner of the Kiritsky mirror factory, Alexander Vladimirovich Smolyaninov, as the settlement of peasants from the nearby village of Letniki ( Putyatinsky district ). [2] [3]
By 1888, according to I.V. Dobrolyubov , the village of Aleksandrovka belonged to the parish of the Vasilievsky church in the village of Borovoe and there were 38 yards in it. [3]
By 1909, there were 44 yards in the village of Aleksandrovka, in which 143 male souls and 132 female souls lived. [four]
Transport
On the eastern outskirts of the village of Aleksandrovka there is a stopping point Aleksandrovka of the Shilovo - Kasimov railway line of the Moscow Railway .
