Geographical position
The village of Nitsinskoe is located 28 kilometers (33 km along the highway) northwest of the city of Irbit , on the right bank of the Nitsa River. The regional highway 65K-0110000 Verkhnyaya Sinyachikha - Irbit passes through the village [2] .
Village History
In 1624, Petunia Oshchepkov founded the Nitsinsky settlement thanks to a new road going from Europe to Tyumen [2] .
At the Irbit Fair, there was trade in handicrafts, fabric paths, patterned tablecloths, fishing tackle (hemstitches, ravings, seines) [2] .
Church in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker
In 1791, a stone three-altar church was laid, the main aisle of which was consecrated in honor of St. Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra. In 1816, the right side chapel was consecrated in the name of the prophet Elijah, the left side chapel in honor of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos was consecrated in 1877. The temple was closed in 1961, and demolished in the 1960s [2] .
