Minsk bakery No. 1 is a Minsk enterprise of the bakery industry, located in the historical center of Minsk - Rakovsky suburb ( Rakovskaya street , 25).

It was commissioned on November 7, 1927 ^[1] . Located in the old building of the wallpaper factory of I. S. Shifmanovich, opened in 1892 ^[2] . He became the first Belarusian industrial enterprise to master the production of bakery products in large volumes. He worked on coal and in the early years produced up to 50 tons of bread per day ^[1] .

During the war , during the occupation of the city, the Germans did not stop production, they also installed a German furnace brand Werner & Pfleiderer ^[1] . An underground group was operating at the plant, led by Lobik, who established the provision of bread for partisans and the Minsk ghetto . After some time, as a result of treason, the group was uncovered and all the underground were captured and shot by the Gestapo ^[1] .

After the war, the factory was rebuilt in 1946 and reconstructed ^[3] . In the 1970s, it was incorporated into the Minskkhlebprom association. In 2013, the company employed 520 people and baked 70 tons of baked goods per day ^[4] .

In 2016 closed; the building, considered to be of little value, has been demolished, it is planned to build a multifunctional tourist complex with trade, catering, sports and fitness facilities and educational facilities on the basis of the preserved production facilities ^[5] .
