Biography
From the collective farmers. He studied at a rural school in with. Medaevka, then in with. Lower Sancheleevo . In the summer he worked as a tractor trailer on a collective farm. He graduated from 7 classes of the school.
The Navy was called up by the Stavropol RVC in November 1943. Three younger brothers and a young wife, with whom Fedor lived only three months, remained at home. From December 1943 to October 1944 he studied at the VMAU. Levanevsky . There he met with fellow countryman Viktor Nosov . At the end of the school, Dorofeev was awarded the rank of sergeant, he received the specialty of a radio operator gunner and was sent to the disposal of the chief of staff of the Air Force KBF .
Since October 28, 1944 he served in the 51 mine torpedo regiment of the Air Force of the Red Banner Baltic Fleet . The commander of the 51st mtap of the BF Air Force, Colonel Orlenko I.F. , accepting the arrivals, learning about the friendship of Nosov , Igoshin and Dorofeev, assigned them to one crew.
In this composition, the crew on the Boston A-20 aircraft made six sorties:
- 12/12/1944 - in the area of the port of Libava in a group of aircraft transport with a displacement of 6,000 tons was sunk (not completely reliable).
- 12/14/1944 - in a group of aircraft, a top-masted bomb strike in the port of Libava sank an enemy patrol boat.
- 12/22/1944 - an enemy patrol boat was sunk in the port of Libava (not entirely reliably).
- 02/05/1945 - in the area of the Danzig Bay as a part of the combat group of aircraft sank transport 7000 tons (not entirely reliable).
- 02/13/1945 - in the southern part of the Baltic Sea ( ), a shell hit the crew plane when attacking vehicles with a displacement of 6,000 tons. Without turning off the battle course, the aircraft, controlled by pilot Viktor Nosov, was sent to ram the enemy’s vehicles and sunk it. The air gunner-radio operator Dorofeev F. I. until the collision fired continuously at the enemy. The entire crew died.
The widow of the Hero, Anna Stepanovna, with the blessing of the parents of her first husband, subsequently married Peter Dosaev , the future Hero of Socialist Labor [1] .
Rewards
- The Medal “For Courage” - “for the excellent fulfillment of the combat missions of the command on the front of the struggle against the Nazi invaders, courage and courage shown” (posthumous) (03/15/1945).

Memory
- In Poland, a monument was erected to the crew of V.P. Nosov. On the memorial plaque of the monument there is an inscription: “To Soviet pilots Viktor Nosov, Alexander Igoshin, Fedor Dorofeev, who on February 13, 1945 , died a heroic death for ours and your freedom.” The words “for our and your freedom”, as a slogan on a poster, were used by participants in a demonstration against the occupation of Czechoslovakia in August 1968 ; the slogan was recognized as anti-Soviet and the demonstrators were punished.
- In front of the secondary school number 1 on the street. A memorial was erected in Tolyatti : a stele with an airplane and bas-reliefs of Baltic pilots and a memorial plaque with the names of school graduates who died during the Great Patriotic War on the fronts (authors V. D. Petrov, I. I. Burmistenko, V. Korshunov, Yu. Ascheulov, V. Kalevatov).
- The name of Victor Nosov appeared on the maps of Tolyatti back in 1958, but only in 2007 did Dorofeev's passage appear in the city.
