History
The bell tower was erected in 2006 on the Red Hill in Zlatoust . It was built by the Zlatoust plant Stroytekhnika at its own expense and donations of citizens in a record short time from May 12 to November 11 . Its discovery was timed to the 1600th anniversary of the glorification of St. John Chrysostom - the patron saint of the city . Also in the tower there is a chapel . From the observation deck offers a beautiful view of the city, Taganai National Park and the South Ural mountain range . The total height of the tower is 53.4 meters.
Bell
The bell for the bell tower was cast in the city of Kamensk-Uralsky ( Sverdlovsk region ). The weight of the bell is 1300 kg, the diameter is 1.2 meters. The first bell sounded on November 7, 2006
Territory
Near the bell tower is a mountain park named. P.P. Bazhova , opened in 2015 . It is one of the main attractions of the Southern Urals . On its territory are souvenir shops, workshops and museums.
