Biography
He studied at the Gnesins Music College in the class of Professor Hector Gandolfi . He graduated from college in 1934. He continued his education with Professor Nazarii Raysky at the Moscow Conservatory, which he graduated in 1940. Since 1940 he worked on the All-Union Radio . In 1945 he graduated from the graduate school of the Moscow Conservatory and began working as a vocal teacher at the Music College at the Moscow Conservatory , then moved to work at the conservatory, where in 1957 he headed the vocal department [1] . Since 1963, he also headed the vocal department of the Music College at the Moscow Conservatory [2] .
As a performer, Hugo Titz worked with a wide range of works from different schools and styles. In addition to speaking on the radio, he participated in concerts in Moscow, went on tour to other cities [1] . In radio shows he performed the parts of Frederic in the opera Lakme by Delibes , Marcel in the opera Bohemia by Puccini [2] .
Repeatedly became a member of the jury of international vocal competitions, including the competition named after P. I. Tchaikovsky [1] [2] .
In teaching, he continued the traditions laid down in Russia by his teacher, Hector Gandolfi [3] . He actively conducted methodological and scientific work, speaking with reports and developing study guides for vocalists. Conducted open lessons in the USSR and abroad. He was a member of the Scientific and Methodological Council for Vocal Education under the Ministry of Culture of the USSR [1] .
Among the students of Hugo Tits - folk artists of Russia Pyotr Gluboky , Alexei Mochalov , Pyotr Skusnichenko , Vladimir Chernov ; People's Artist of Ukraine Nikolay Koval [4] ; Honored Artists of the RSFSR Denis Korolev , Matvey Lobanov , Lev Morozov ; Honored Artist of Russia Movsar Mintsaev ; Honored Artist of the Belarusian SSR Alexander Rudkovsky [1] [2] .
He was buried at Vvedensky cemetery .
