History
In the 1869 List of Populated Places of the Russian Empire, Melnikov is mentioned as the village of the Irbitsky district of the Perm province , by the Irbit River, located one verst from the county town of Irbit . There were 26 yards in the village and 177 people lived (101 men and 76 women) [2] .
Geography
The village is located in the southeastern part of the region, at a distance of 3 kilometers northwest of the city of Irbit, on the left bank of the Irbit river, near the place where it flows into the Nitsa river [3] . The absolute height is 83 meters above sea level [4] .
