Hamradun is a rock band from the Faroe Islands. The band was formed in 2015 by the former Faro rock band “ Týr ” vocalist Paul Arni Holm and guitarist Ugni Debess . According to Paul Arni, the Hamradun project is a combination of his interest in ancient ballads and folk culture with Uni's background blues music. [one]

The name of the team is a combination of the Faroese words “hamrar” and “dun”. The word "hamrar" translates as "the tops of the mountains", and "dun" - as "crashing." [one]
The band’s self-titled debut album was released on October 23, 2015 by the Faroese recording campaign “ Tutl ”. [2] The album includes the Faroe hymn, Irish folk music , Faroese traditional melodies, as well as its own material. [3]
The group was nominated for the Faroes National Music Award in 2016. [four]
