Excerpta indica

Excerpta Indonesica is a magazine of abstracts of articles and books on Indonesia , published in 1970-1999. in Leiden . The journal was founded by the Royal Documentation Center for Indonesia at the Royal Institute of Linguistics and Anthropology (KITLV), and since 1993 has been published jointly by the KITLV library and the International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS). The magazine was published twice a year in English ^[1] .

Over the period of its existence, 60 issues of the journal were published, in which 13,654 annotations were printed, including 8,858 journal articles, 2,097 articles in collections and 2,699 books published in fifty countries of the world, including Russia ^[2] .

The largest number of annotations is devoted to history (1798), followed by annotations on economics (1581), anthropology (1179), politics (1110), literature (990), linguistics (915), sociology (706), religion (585), art ( 567), agriculture (528), demography (501), bibliography (405), archeology (373); biographies (347), education (347); jurisprudence (272), foreign relations (270), medicine (260); ecology (214), gender studies (196), geography (160), general problems (116), public administration (106), philosophy (54), natural sciences (44), engineering (33).

Country annotations were distributed as follows: Indonesia 3974, Netherlands 2646, USA 1681, Australia 1324, Great Britain 863, Germany 647, France 593, Singapore 424, Japan 367, Malaysia 331, Russia −306 , India −79, Switzerland - 78, Canada - 58, Philippines - 50 ^[3] .

Representatives of Russia, who tracked publications on Indonesia in Russian and prepared annotations, at different times were B. B. Parnikel , M. Yu. Ulyanov, V. A. Pogadaev .
