Geographical position
The village of Velvet of the Irbit Municipality is located 16 kilometers (19 kilometers along the highway) east of the town of Irbit , on the left bank of the Nitsa River. In the vicinity of the village are located the old lake Lakes, Osinovoe, Mochishche [2] .
Village History
The toponym Velvet from Old Russian means a barge, a rafting ship [2] .
