Content
History
The team was formed in 2000 in the city of Lehon . In 2002, it entered the Athletic Bilbao club system and received its current name.
In the debut season she won the league title. Having won in the next two championships, the team was the first to receive a trophy for winning the championship for eternal storage [1] .
Having failed the 2005/2006 season, in 2007 the team became the four-time champion of Spain.
From 2008 to 2011, the team invariably finished the championship in third place.
In 2012, the club first reached the final of the Spanish Cup, where they lost to Espanyol . This result was repeated in 2014.
In June 2016, Athletic again won the championship title - the fifth in history.
