Biography

Elena Lvovna Sitnikova was born on October 4, 1963 in the city of Kurgan [1] [2] [3] [4] .

She graduated from high school number 37 of the city of Orsk, Orenburg region .

In 1981 she graduated from the conducting and choral department of the Kurgan Music School, then taught choral singing and music in a choral school.

In 1985-1986 she worked as a music teacher in secondary school number 22 of the city of Kurgan. For 14 years (1983–1996), she performed as a member of the chamber choir of the Kurgan branch of the VHO (director Igor Kuskov).

Since 1989, she worked at the Kurgan Regional Art Museum as a researcher at the Department of Modern Art.

In 1994 she graduated from the faculty of art history and cultural studies at the Ural State University named after A. M. Gorky .

A member of the Writers' Union of Russia since June 2005, was registered in the Kurgan Regional Writing Organization .

Elena Lvovna Sitnikova died suddenly on May 3, 2012 in a hospital in the city of Kurgan [5] . She was buried in the cemetery of the Ketovo village, Ketovsky district, Kurgan region [6] .

Creativity

She was interested in the problems of synthesis of arts, and in working with the audience she preferred an organic combination of visual arts, music and poetry.

The main directions of scientific work - modern watercolor and psychology of creativity. She was involved in organizing and holding exhibitions and concerts in the museum. With her active participation I, II and III All-Russian exhibitions of watercolors, exhibitions “Book. Writer. Poetry

She wrote her first poem at the age of five. At school, wrote essays in verse. I tried myself as a watercolorist and photographer.

As a poet, she began to publish in 1988 in the regional newspaper "Young Leninist". Then there were publications in the newspapers “Kurgan and Kurgans” and “ New World ”, the anthology “Tobol”, in the magazines “Sibirsky krai”, “Science and Education of Zauralye”, “The Museum and Us”, the Magnitogorsk almanac “Berega” and other publications. She also was fond of translations - in particular, Hermann Hesse .

In addition to poetry, she wrote wreaths of sonnets, philosophical ballads, plays. Whatever topic Elena Sitnikova addresses in her work, she reveals her uniquely deeply, without fear of philosophical generalizations, and at the same time so subtlely that it is simply impossible to confuse her creative style with anyone else.
