Malbourg ( French: Malesherbes ) is a station of line 3 of the Paris Metro located in the VIII arrondissement of Paris under the Place de General Catroux ( French Place du General Catroux ). It was named after the boulevard of the same name, which received its name in memory of the French statesman and one of Louis XVI's lawyers, Chretien Guillaume de Lamoignon de Malzerba . Not far from the station is the University of Paris IV Sorbonne .

History
- The station opened on May 23, 1910 as part of the Villier - Pereir launch site
- The passenger traffic at the station at the entrance in 2011, according to RATP , amounted to 2546859 people [2] . In 2013, this figure increased to 2623165 passengers (208th place in terms of passenger input in the Paris Metro) [3] .
