Biography
Tyutyunnik Sergey Petrovich was born in 1960 in the village of Shatsk in Volyn ( Western Ukraine ). In 1981 he graduated from the Journalism Department of the Lviv Military-Political School. He worked in the military press. He served in Latvia , Uzbekistan , Turkmenistan , Germany . He took part in hostilities in Afghanistan , in the zone of the Ossetian-Ingush armed conflict, in Abkhazia , in Dagestan , in the first and second Chechen military campaigns, in the Ossetian-Georgian war, in Syria. He retired from the army with the rank of colonel. S. P. Tyutyunnik works in the newspaper of the Southern (North Caucasian) Military District “Military Bulletin of the South of Russia” ( Rostov-on-Don ). At one time, the newspaper was called “The Red Cavalier,” where Isaac Babel’s career began. Later in this newspaper the first notes of a young soldier Yuri Shchekochikhin were published.

Creativity
The prose of Sergei Tyutyunnik for a long time (about five years) was not published for reasons of censorship. Then his stories were first published by Smena magazine. It happened in 1990. Later his stories and novels were published by the magazines “Rural Youth” (anthology “Feat”), “Warrior of Russia”, “Friendship of Peoples”, “Rainbow” (Kiev), and “Spark”. All these magazines recognized Sergey Petrovich as the laureate for the best publication of the year.
The first book was published at the Military Publishing House in 1993 . In 2000, the Tekst Publishing House issued a collection of Tyutyunnik's works “A fragment of the Tower of Babel”, which was nominated for the Apollo Grigoriev Prize and entered the short list (short list) of applicants.
In 2004, the Moscow publishing house "Exprint" (now the publishing house "Tseikhgauz") published a collection of prose by S. P. Tyutyunnik "My Mata Hari" (the eponymous story was included in the collection).
At the beginning of 2005, in France, the Parisian publishing house Presses de la Renaissance released a collection of prose and journalism by Sergei Tyutyunnik entitled War and Vodka (Guerre et vodka). In March 2005, the 25th World Book Salon was held in Paris , where Russia was the main guest. Among the forty Russian writers who officially represented our country was Sergei Petrovich Tyutyunnik. His book, and the author himself - a cadre (at that time) officer of the Russian army - aroused genuine interest among the French and European public.
At the end of 2005, the Moscow publishing house "Vremya" published a book by journalism Sergei Tyutyunnik entitled "12 bullets from the Chechen clip." In autumn 2005, the book became one of the 40 best-selling books in Russia.
In 2009, S. Tyutyunnik was recognized as the “Person of the Year” (in the nomination “Literature”) in the Rostov Region.
Since October 2018, the author’s program “Ricochet with Sergei Tyutyunnik” has been on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station in the Don. [one]
