Igor Aleksandrovich Kotvitsky ( Ukrainian: Igor Oleksandrovich Kotvitsky ; born January 24, 1970 in Kharkov , USSR , USSR ) is a Ukrainian businessman and politician. People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the VIII convocation (“ Popular Front ” fraction) ^[1] . Member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legislative Support for Law Enforcement.

After graduating from secondary school No. 88 of the city of Kharkov from 1988 to 1990, he served in the Soviet Army .

Igor Kotvitsky began to do business in the mid-1990s, joining the Investor JSC in Kharkov, where he became one of the leading managers a few years later.

On suspicion of fraud on an especially large scale, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Prosecutor's Office opened criminal proceedings. On September 24, 2016, the Kiev prosecutor's office closed a criminal case against Igor Kotvitsky “in connection with the lack of corpus delicti”. At the same time, NABU continued to investigate the transfer of money to Panamanian offshore ^[10] ^[11] .

On February 28, 2017, the company “Atomic Energy Systems of Ukraine” in court received permits from the State Geological and Mineral Resources Service for geological exploration and pilot development of four uranium ore deposits in Ukraine - Safonovskoye and Mikhailovskoye deposits in the Nikolaev region , Surskaya Square and Novogurovsky site in the Dnipropetrovsk region . According to media reports, the nuclear power plant is controlled by people from the environment of Kotwitsky, who actually became the country's largest “uranium latifundist” ^[12] ^[13] .

Kotvitsky is the champion of Ukraine in the number of awards with award weapons - he was awarded the IWI Jericho 941 / Fort- 21.03 pistols (April 23, 2014), Glock 17 (August 24, 2014), Fort-9 (October 24, 2014) , APS (January 24, 2015), Mauser C96 (January 30, 2015), and Smith & Wesson SW1911 (August 6, 2015) ^[16] . Revenues

The declaration of Igor Kotvitsky for 2014, in which, after official publication, the deputy additionally contributed another 900 million hryvnias (see above), caused great public response.

In 2015, Kotvitsky indicated in the declaration 196 million hryvnias of cash, the right of claim for a total of 1,364,738,936 hryvnias and 28 pairs of watches. In addition, the deputy had cash in the amount of 500 thousand dollars and 250 thousand euros, as well as assets in precious (bank) metals worth 9.8 million hryvnia ^[20] ^[21] ^[22] .

In an electronic declaration for 2016, Igor Kotvitsky indicated 115.6 million hryvnia of income and 240 million hryvnia of cash. The deputy salary amounted to 153 thousand hryvnias, 170 thousand hryvnias accounted for the provision of deputy activity, 2 million Kotvitsky received due to income from the alienation of movable property, 8.9 million hryvnias accounted for interest on a contribution to Oschadbank , 11.3 million hryvnas to “ Sberbank "; another 81.9 million hryvnia brought him dividends.

Significant financial resources are held by the deputy in cash and in bank deposits. From real estate, he indicated three apartments and three garages in Kiev and Kharkov , and Kotvitsky also uses an apartment, two residential buildings, two garages and three public receptions.
