History

  • The first in the history of the interchange hub opened the line 12 hall (then line A of the North-South company), it was called "Sevr", along the street of the same name. [2] . Hall line 10, which opened on December 30, 1923, was called "Babylon." In 1931, when the stations merged into a transfer hub, the latter received a double name, however, the signs with the name of the transfer hub, tiled, were designed differently: in line 10, the word “Babylon”, standing first, was laid out with a larger size, than “Sevres” ( Sèvres- Babylone ), and in the hall of line 12 the word “Sevres” ( Sèvres- Babylone ) was laid out with a larger size .
  • According to the RATP , the passenger flow of the interchange hub at the entrance in 2011 amounted to 5618445 people [3] . In 2013, this figure dropped to 5540265 passengers (67th place in terms of passenger input in the Paris Metro) [4]
