Sergei Stepanovich Mochalov (born April 16, 1963 , Krasnoyarsk ) is a Russian athletics coach. Honored Coach of Russia (2012).

Biography
Sergei Stepanovich Mochalov was born on April 16, 1963 in Krasnoyarsk. He started athletics at the age of 13. He specialized in high jump and hurdling. He was the champion of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the medalist of zonal competitions.
After school, he entered the Polytechnic College, and then - at the Forest Engineering Department of the Technological Institute. In the fourth year he was offered to work as a coach and during the fifth year he already worked in the School for Sports and Athletics DSO Zenit. Later, Mochalov graduated in absentia from a college of physical education [1] . Married, has a daughter, Elena.
In 1989, he began to work in the School for Athletics of the GORONO Administration of Krasnoyarsk. Since 2012, Sergey Stepanovich has been a senior track and field coach at SKGAU "Summer Sports Academy" [2] .
During the period of coaching, he trained many athletes: Alexander Menkov - world indoor champion in 2012, European indoor champion in 2013 [3] [4] [5] ; ten masters of sports of the USSR and Russia, among them Vitaly Karpov, Vyacheslav Gusev, Alexander Tolmakaev, Vladimir Kravchenko, Alexey Vdovin, Andrey Yudin, Natalya Antsiferova, who were members of the Russian national team and repeatedly became winners and prize-winners of various competitions [6] .
