Description
The tomb was conceived in the form of a small temple with two rows of columns, a chapel and a burial chamber , into which a corridor leads from the first hall. In the main room there are 32 columns, and in the corridor - 8. The tomb is remarkable with highly artistic drawings of traditional and Amarnian art. [2]
The unfinished relief in the traditional style has been preserved on the eastern wall, where Ra-mose with his wife and his brother Amenhotep and his wife Mai are depicted. A priest in the skin of a panther makes sacrifices in memory, three girls play musical instruments . [3] Ra-mose and his close ones are present when performing funeral rituals (bathing, incense burning, offerings of sacrificial gifts).
On the southern wall in two registers are also depicted the funeral scenes, marked by the influence of the Amarna art style that was born. The top row shows the carriage of the sarcophagus , standing on a sled, by boat. These scenes were later smeared for an unknown reason. [four]
On the western wall there are two scenes with Pharaoh Akhenaten . The designation of his name Amenhotep IV indicates the time of construction of the tomb - the beginning of his reign. On the left side of the wall, the pharaoh is depicted sitting next to Maat . Under the throne are carved the names of subordinate countries, illustrated with drawings of Nubians, Asians and Libyans. On the right is the scene that became widespread in the Amarnian era: Akhenaten and Nefertiti from the window of the phenomena bestow on Ra-mose gold jewelry. Both of these scenes are unfinished - contour marked, indistinct. In the extreme right corner of the western wall, Ra-mose is depicted leaving the palace for the standing ovation of those present.
A not decorated corridor in the depth of the tomb [5] leads from the center of the western wall to the chapel with 3 niches.
Burial Chamber
A sharply sloping corridor in the south-west side leads to a burial chamber that leads to an undecorated, unused room with 4 columns. The urn and embalmed skull were found here, traces of blue paint opposite the entrance.
