Biography
Ivan Filippovich Fedorov was born on January 27, 1917 in the city of Dnepropetrovsk ( Ukraine ). But all the main events of his life took place on the Don. In Rostov, Ivan lived with his parents and brothers in a large house on the left bank of the Don. In 1938 he graduated from the Rostov Teachers' Institute. He worked in the regional youth newspaper "Bolshevik shift", and then was drafted into the army.
During the Great Patriotic War , I.F. Fedorov went from a soldier to an officer. He graduated from the Penza Mortar School, fought on the Moscow, Leningrad and 1st Ukrainian fronts.
After the war, Ivan Fedorov returned to his native Rostov , and then followed by a move to the Kaliningrad region , where Fedorov worked as a correspondent for the TASS union information office in the Soviet district. At the end of the 1940s he returned to the Rostov region , worked in the editorial office of the newspaper "For the Stalin Harvest" in the Matveevo-Kurgan region .
In the 1950s, I.F. Fedorov moved to the Vesely farm.
In 1965 he graduated from the Higher Literary Courses in Moscow under the Union of Writers of the USSR .
Creativity
The first poems of Ivan Fedorov were published in Pravda, Komsomolskaya Pravda, in divisional, army and front-line newspapers, in the almanac, in the collections Front Line Lyrics (1943), Don Poems (1945), and Lyric Lines ( 1947).
The Rostov Book Publishing House published collections of poems by I.F. Fedorov: “Dawn over the Don” (1958), “Ruchey” (1963), “Bowstring” (1966), “My Bright Don” (1977).
His collection "Bowstring" (1966) included poems from different years. The hero of the collection is the "sower and keeper." Ivan Fedorov leads his word through his native Don field, through the joys and troubles of his workers. The lyric hero of the poet is not divorced from history and nature, but merges with them into one whole.
The poet also tried his hand in prose. He wrote and published in periodicals the stories “Grisha”, “Resentment of the Mother”, “Good Name”, “Horseshoe”, “Cherry”, “Resentment”, “Obsessed” and others.
The poetry and prose of I.F. Fedorov is closely connected with the Don region.
