Biography`
He lived in Kiev, on Preobrazhenskaya street , 27 [1] . He has a wife, Marina, and a 19-year-old son, Konstantin, a student. There is also an elderly mother, Maria Nikolaevna (born in 1938), who lives in a village near Poltava .
On the Maidan
Was on the Maidan from the first days, was engaged in night duty, entered the eighth hundred. He took an active part in preventing attempts to disperse Euromaidan. During the events under the Verkhovna Rada , when activists used gas of unknown origin to disperse, the comrades wanted to give him a respirator , but he said that they would not be enough for everyone and gave up his respirator to his younger comrade. Being poisoned with gas, he didn’t want to go to the hospital until the last, because he believed that it was possible to be treated only after the victory over dictatorial power. At the end of February, I went to the hospital. For almost a month, he was treated for gas burns of the bronchi and lungs. A few days before his death, he left the hospital, was going to go in the Afghan hundreds to the front, but died on March 22.
Honor the memory
Peter Mironovich was buried on March 25 in the village of Gogolev, Brovarsky District [2] . The farewell took place on Independence Square in Kiev at 11:00.
In Kiev, on the house on the street. Preobrazhenskaya, 27, where Peter Gajah lived, a memorial plaque was installed [1] [3] .
A memorial plaque was solemnly opened on the facade of the Butenkovsky school , in the Kobelyaksky district of the Poltava region (which Peter graduated in 1981) in March 2017.
Awards
- The title Hero of Ukraine with the award of the Golden Star Order (November 21, 2014, posthumously) for civil courage, patriotism, heroic upholding the constitutional principles of democracy, human rights and freedoms, selfless service to the Ukrainian people, discovered during the Revolution of Dignity [4] .
- Medal "For sacrifice and love for Ukraine" ( UOC KP , June 2015) (posthumously) [5] .
In literature
The Kyiv poetess Irina Rassvetnaya dedicated a poem to the Hero [6] .
