Dmitry Vladimirovich Kuprash (born July 4, 1968 , Kaliningrad, USSR ) is a Russian scientist, a specialist in the field of molecular biology and immunology . Chief Researcher, Institute of Molecular Biology Engelhardt (IMB) of the Russian Academy of Sciences ( RAS ). Professor, professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences [1] and corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences [2] for the Department of Biological Sciences .

Biography
Born in 1968 in the mountains. Kaliningrad , later moved with his family to Moscow. Father D.V. Kuprash - Vladimir Mikhailovich Sheinerman, a mechanical designer, was an employee of Mosproject-2 . Mother - Valentina Trofimovna Kuprash, worked as a leading economist in the Ministry of Assembly and Special Construction Works of the USSR .
In 1984, Dmitry graduated from high school number 112 mountains. Moscow (now - GOU TSO No. 1441 "Bronnaya Sloboda") with a gold medal . Immediately entered the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), which he graduated with honors in 1990 from the Department of Molecular Biophysics [3] .
The biography of Kuprash as a scientific researcher is wholly connected with the IMB RAS , where he, under the leadership of S. A. Nedospasov , now an academician of the RAS, has gone from a student-intern to the head of the laboratory for the transmission of intracellular signals in normal and pathological conditions. In 2006 D.V. Kuprash defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Biological Sciences . In 2010, he received the title of professor with a degree in molecular biology . In 2016, the honorary academic title “ Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences ” was awarded, and in the same year he was elected a corresponding member of the Academy.
Scientific activity
The first topic of the work of D.V. Kuprash was the study of the regulation of gene expression of cytokines of the family of tumor necrosis factor (TNF) - directly TNF, as well as lymphotoxins (LT) alpha and beta . The next series of his works was devoted to the functions of genes of the TNF family at the level of the whole organism, for which mice with knockout of these genes were obtained and studied. At the same time, new functions of TNF and LT genes in the formation of secondary lymphoid organs were discovered. Currently, under the guidance of D.V. Kuprash, work is underway to study the functional role of single nucleotide polymorphisms in the regulation of human gene expression , molecular mechanisms of metastasis and antibodies to the body's own proteins as serological tumor markers are being studied. The biological response to lipopolysaccharides of various structures from clinically important strains of gram-negative bacteria is also being studied. D.V. Kuprash is the author of more than 100 scientific papers [4] , the Hirsch index is 27 (according to the Web of Science ), the citation index is over 2000.
Teaching, expert work
In 2000 D.V. Kuprash was one of the organizers of the curriculum on oncological immunology, which then functioned in Moscow for 12 years and gained fame among the Russian scientific community. Since 2010, at the Department of Immunology, Faculty of Biology, Moscow State University, she has been reading - concurrently - a course of oncological immunology, since 2011 she has been coordinating the course of immunogenetics there ; Since 2013, he has been involved in the development and reading of the course “ Molecular Immunology ” and the inter-faculty course “Conversations on Immunology”. Starting in 2013, he also lectures on molecular immunology to students of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and graduate students of the IMB RAS . D.V. Kuprash is a member of the editorial board of the journal Molecular Biology . He is a member of the Academic Council of the IMB RAS and the dissertation council D002.235.01 of the IMB RAS [4] , an expert of the RAS , RSF , RFBR , Rusnano and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation .
