History

Piryatinsky cheese factory was created in 1920. During the Great Patriotic War and German occupation (September 18, 1941 - September 18, 1943), the enterprise was damaged, but in accordance with the fourth five-year plan for the restoration and development of the national economy of the USSR , the Piryatinsky butter-cheese factory was restored and put into operation again [2] .

In 1952-1954, the plant was expanded, the production capacity of the enterprise increased to 32 tons of products per day.

In 1969-1973, new production buildings were built for the plant (after which the enterprise, whose main products were cheeses , received a new name - Piryatinsky cheese factory [3] [4] ), in 1982 a planned reconstruction of technological workshops was carried out.

In Soviet times, the plant was one of the leading enterprises of the city [2] [3] [4] .

After the independence of Ukraine, the plant was transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Ukraine .

In May 1995, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a decision on the privatization of the plant during 1995 [5] , after which the state-owned enterprise was transformed into a collective enterprise.

On October 2, 2004, the Piryatinsky cheese factory was reorganized into a closed joint-stock company , later the plant became part of the Milk Alliance holding. In 2005 - 2006 at the enterprise, production equipment was replaced; in 2007, a fully automated line for the formation and pressing of cheeses from the Spanish company Fibosa was installed and put into operation, as a result, processing capacities increased to 500 tons of milk per day, production capacities - up to 50 tons of finished products per day (including up to 1400 tons of cheese per month) [6] .

In 2008, the plant produced 15815 tons of rennet and 1834 tons of processed cheeses; in the first half of 2009, the company installed and commissioned a line for slicing cheese from Germany and a weighing and packing line for Japanese production, after which in June 2009 the plant began producing packaged cheeses [7] .

In 2010, the number of employees was 835 people, the plant produced 47 tons of finished products per day and was one of the largest cheese producers in Ukraine (providing 12% of the country's production volume) [8] .

In February 2011, during the inspection of the plant, the specialists of the Poltavastandardmetrology SE revealed violations in the technology for the production of processed cheeses (which were used to use vegetable fats ) [9] . The plant completed 2011 with a net profit of 5.5 million hryvnias [10] .

In 2013, the plant took part in the All-Ukrainian contest of product quality "100 of the best products in Ukraine ”, 50% fat cream cheese presented at the competition was among the winners of the competition in the category“ Food Products ” [11] [12] .

In 2014, the situation of the enterprise was complicated, production volumes were reduced [1] , however, 2014 the plant completed with a net profit of 47.3 million hryvnias. The plant completed the year 2015 with a net profit of 4.4 million hryvnias [13] .

In January 2016, export of the plant’s products was allowed to Moldova [14] , in April 2016, deliveries of the plant’s products to Bulgaria [15] began , in May 2016 the plant’s products received a certificate for compliance with Halal products approved for use in food for Muslims [16] .

We also fell in processed cheese: in In 2013, there were 4.3 thousand tons, and this was a good indicator, we were traditionally one of the five largest producers of processed cheeses. Bashtanka and Piryatin also make processed cheeses. We went down these cheeses .
