Vladislav Aleksandrovich Shiryaev (born October 29, 1973 , Miass ) is a Russian athlete specializing in 400 meters hurdles . Master of Sports of Russia of international class . Member of the 2000 Summer Olympics . Four-time champion of Russia (1997, 1998, 1999, 2000). Honored Coach of Russia (2016).

Biography
Vladislav Aleksandrovich Shiryaev was born on October 29, 1973 in the city of Miass, Chelyabinsk Region. He started athletics at the age of 12 with coach Oleg Leonidovich Bogdanov and Sergey Viktorovich Pugach [1] . The first two years he trained in all-around. From the age of 14, he began to specialize in hurdling on 60 meters and 110 meters. At 18, he moved to Yekaterinburg, entered the Ural State Pedagogical Institute , and began to run 400 meters with hurdles under the direction of Valery Antonovich Shvetsov [2] . A year later, in 1992, he met the standard of the master of sports of Russia. He advocated for trade unions and IC Luch [3] . He trained with Rif Tababilov [4] .
In 1995 he moved to St. Petersburg and began to work with the honored trainer of the USSR Alexei Vyacheslavovich Batalov. In 1997, he fulfilled the standard of an international master of sports in Russia, won the Russian championship and became a member of the Russian national team. In the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney in the 400m hurdles he took 27th place in the qualification.
He graduated from the Leningrad Regional Pedagogical Institute [5] .
In 2001, he moved to Chelyabinsk and continued training under the leadership of Sergey Viktorovich Pugach. In 2004, due to accumulated injuries, he ended his sports career.
Since 2006, he began to work as a trainer and teacher in the School № 2 of the city of Chelyabinsk. He is also a senior lecturer in the Athletics Department of the Ural State University of Physical Education [6] [7] [8] .
Among his pupils the most famous are:
- Denis Kudryavtsev - silver medalist of the World Cup 2015, bronze medalist of the European Championship 2014 [9] [10] ,
- Artyom Denmukhametov - multiple winner of the championships of Russia,
- Nikita Polyakov is a prize winner of the Russian Championship 2015 [11] .
In 2016, Shiryaev was awarded the title of Honored Coach of Russia [12] .
