History
The name Hotech appeared long before the appearance of the village itself. Originally it was the name of the Radotinsky stream and the forest located in these places. These lands were owned by the Cistercian monastery in Plasich , which was leased to secular owners. The village was founded only at the beginning of the XIV century, as evidenced by the mention of 1336 ( villae Chots ). Yeshek from Hotec owned the village and surrounding lands at that time, his descendants inherited these lands and managed them for several decades. In the middle of the 15th century, the second fortress was mentioned, its remains in the Renaissance style are now part of the former economy. These are fragments of sgraffito with a floral ornament. From the first fortress there was only a moat. Most likely it was built in 1301 by Elias from Tukhomerzhits. The second residence, built in the center, was confiscated in 1622 from Jiří Magrl from Soliška for participating in the uprising of the Czech estates . All property was transferred to the All Saints Chapel in Prague Castle . In the courtyard of the building are two statues, St. Catherine and St. John of Nepomuk , set in 1764 .
In the south-west direction from Khotec, far from the village is the church of St. Catherine, built in 1697-1709. In a fire in 1856, masonry collapsed in one of the two towers of the church, after which the mummified remains of a local clerk were discovered. Judging by the bitten fingers and the thrown off lid of the coffin, he was buried alive.
