History
Omnitracker was originally developed as an application for optimizing quality management processes and software development. Subsequently, the program expanded to an intersectoral modular platform for many business processes. In 2000, the platform began to provide support for service management processes in accordance with ITIL recommendations. Currently, Omnitracker is used by many companies as a critical system in various service and technical processes.
In 2015/16, the Omnitreker program was awarded the title of Champion (Value Champion) by the analytical company Info-Tech Research Group.
Purpose
Omnitracker platform, as well as ready-made standard solutions based on it (applications “out of the box”) serve as an extensive automation of workflows supported by information technologies and are intended for B2B clients of various industries, including industrial enterprises, service organizations, IT service providers [2] , state institutions. The number of program installations around the world totals several hundred.
Development and distribution
Platform development and international technical support are carried out exclusively at the head office of Omninet in Eckenthal, Germany. The program is distributed by Omninet's local subsidiaries in several countries, as well as partner companies.
Functionality
The multi-user Omnitracker platform consists of a core system, modular core components, and customers. Unlimited extensions can be specially configured for the needs of the user and controlled via open interfaces. The program has a built-in graphical editor of workflows, a flexible system of notifications and escalations. The data model, as well as the concept of separation of rights and roles, are freely configurable. It is possible to automate reports and statistical summaries.
Modules
Omnitracker has more than 12 standard out-of-box applications based on the business process platform (program core). The most common of them are: IT Service Management Center V3 (ITSM) - management of ITSM processes according to ITIL recommendations, Project Management Center - planning and project management, Stock & Order Management - support for ordering and delivery processes, Contract Management Center - contract management, as well as Systems Engineering Center - software development process management.
Licensing
Licensing is modular: the server part of the program and the number of concurrent client accesses are separately licensed. In addition to the classic purchase of a license, it is possible to lease it, as well as pay for the time of its actual use (“pay per use” model).
